Junior School Open Mornings 2026
Our Open Events are a great opportunity to visit JAGS and to get an overview of life at our school.
Summer Term
Our Summer Open Morning will take place on Thursday 4 June 2026 and is open to prospective parents who are considering entry to our Junior School. At this event there will be a welcome talk in our main school auditorium and tours of the Pre-Prep and Prep. To book your place, please use the link below:

Autumn Term
Our main Open Morning takes place on Saturday 3 October 2026 for prospective parents and pupils who are considering entry to our Junior School. Visitors will hear from the Head, Mrs Alex Hutchinson and our Junior School Head, Ms Victoria Goodson, and be able to see JAGS in action with tours of the Pre-Prep, Prep and our wonderful school facilities.
Our weekday Open Morning will take place on Wednesday 14 October 2026 and is for prospective parents who are considering entry to our Junior School in September 2027. There will be a welcome talk in our main school auditorium and tours of both the Pre-Prep and Prep.

Small Group Tours
Small group tours will resume in the Summer Term and will be held during the morning of Wednesday 13 May and Friday 26 June.

If you are unable to attend either our Summer Open Morning or one of our Summer Term Small Group Tour dates, kindly email jsadmissions@jags.org.uk and we will be able to advise further.

Junior School Taster Days
4+ Taster Days
We will be holding three short taster sessions for prospective 4+ (Reception) applicants this Autumn. The Taster sessions will take place on Tuesday 22 September, Wednesday 30 September and Thursday 8 October from 10.30 to 11.30am. Attendees will spend some time with their parents/carers, having fun in our EYFS environment and becoming familiar with the Pre-Prep site here at JAGS. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet some of our Pre-Prep staff. Places on these tasters are strictly reserved for those applying for 4+ for September 2027 and whose date of birth falls between September 2022 and August 2023. Please note that only one parent/carer may accompany the attendee however all parents and carers are warmly invited to attend any of our Autumn Term Open Mornings.

7+ Taster Days
We will be holding two short taster sessions for prospective 7+ (Year 3) applicants this Autumn, to provide them with a taste of what the Junior School at JAGS is like. The Taster sessions will take place on Friday 25 September from 9.30 to 11.00am and on Tuesday 6 October from 1.30 to 3.00pm. Attendees will take part in some fun activities, have the opportunity to meet some of the current teachers and will be able to spend some time getting to know the Prep site. Places on these tasters are strictly reserved for those applying for 7+ for September 2027 and whose date of birth falls between September 2019 and August 2020. Please note that these taster sessions are for children only, however all parents and carers are warmly invited to attend any of our Autumn Term Open Mornings.

Senior School Open Mornings 2026
Our Open Mornings are a great opportunity to visit JAGS and to get an overview of life at our school.
Autumn Term
Our main Open Morning takes place on Saturday 10 October for prospective parents and pupils in Year 5 or Year 6 (from September 2026), as well as those seeking Chance Vacancies in Year 8, 9 or 10 or those applying for Sixth Form entry. Visitors will hear from the Head, Mrs Alex Hutchinson, and be able to see JAGS in action on a pupil led tour of the school. During your visit you will be able to experience for yourself the buzz and excitement of life at our school, meeting students and staff and taking part in interactive activities.
Our weekday Open Mornings take place on Wednesday 23 September and Tuesday 20 October and are for prospective parents and pupils in Year 6 (from September 2026) as wells as those seeking Chance Vacancies in Year 8, 9 and 10. Visitors will hear from the Head, Mrs Alex Hutchinson, and be taken on a pupil led tour of the school.

Taster Days for 11+ Applicants
Our Summer Taster has now passed. However, we will be hosting another general taster in the Autumn term for all prospective 11+ candidates considering applying for entry in September 2027. Once a date has been confirmed, we will upload a booking form.
Music Taster
For budding musicians of Grade 5 level or above, we are hosting a Music Taster on Thursday 8 October, on-site from 10.00 am – 12.00 noon, for those interested in a potential Music Scholarship. Join us for a musical workshop, a tour of our music facilities, a short performance from current scholars and further information about scholarship opportunities here at JAGS, led by our Director of Music. Numbers are capped at 30.
Sixth Form
Sixth Form Open Morning
Our Open Morning for prospective Sixth Form students is on Saturday 10 October. Please book for either the 9am or 11am session to ensure you can attend the talk by our Head of Sixth Form.
