Students, staff and parents are eager to be involved with JAGS charity events throughout the year and we’re deeply committed to our charitable endeavours.
“Charity at JAGS is a great way to bring the school together to raise money and awareness for important causes.” Shreya, Year 12
Supporting charities
The school community has long-standing relationships with charities that we have supported for a number of years, and also offers opportunities for current pupils and staff to support charities with personal meaning to them.
Fundraising and events to raise awareness and promote charitable action take place in a myriad of ways across our school; bake sales, book sales, clothes swaps, gingerbread house competitions, game shows with teachers, dance battles, singing competitions, sport matches and our very own winter wonderland.

This year’s charities
Norwood and Brixton Food Bank
This year at JAGS we will we be working with Brixton and Norwood food bank. A charity who provides three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis.
“The foodbank was there when we really needed it, it was an absolute lifeline.”

Little Village
JAGS have worked with Little Village for a number of years and we will be continuing to do so this year.
Little Village supports families with babies and children under five living in poverty across London. They run a baby bank network, collecting, sorting, and passing on pre-loved clothes and equipment. Parents are also supported by their dedicated signposting and guidance team. In addition, they work with families to share their stories and campaign to fix the systems that trap them in poverty.
