Passionate teaching
At A Level, students benefit from lessons led by passionate teachers who are experts in their field. Small class sizes allow greater discussion, in-depth debate and a more personalised approach to them and their learning requirements. Students choose to study three or four subjects from over 20 options, allowing time to participate in our fascinating programme of enrichment, lectures and co-curricular activities. Pupils can choose any combination of subjects, tailored to their interests, and many choose to study for an Extended Project Qualification alongside their A Levels, to develop their research skills and specialist knowledge.
Pupils are encouraged to share ideas and to debate topics in and outside of the classroom. The Sixth Form Common Room and our Copper Beech Café are abuzz with stimulating conversation and healthy debate amongst our senior pupils.
In addition to the programme of A Level subjects, our flexible curriculum includes a choice of subject-based societies and ‘Skills for Life’ courses, both designed to enrich the pupils’ full educational experience.
Details of A level subjects offered can be found in our Sixth Form handbook linked below.
