Payment of Fees
Fees are due and payable in full by Direct Debit on the first day of the School term to which they relate. In line with the terms and conditions of the Parents’ Contract, if fees remain unpaid by the due date, the School reserves the right to add a 1% administration charge and interest at 3% per annum above the Bank of England Base Rate, accrued daily.
Fees must be paid by Direct Debit unless parents live outside of the United Kingdom and do not have an account with a bank or building society within the UK. In such cases, fees may be paid by bank transfer (subject to satisfactory completion of the School’s checking requirements). The School does not accept payments in cash or cheque.
Alternatively, parents can opt to pay fees and extras in monthly repayments through School Fee Plan*. Credit is subject to status, affordability, terms and conditions apply. James Allen’s Girls’ School is an appointed representative of Premium Credit Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. *School Fee Plan is a trading style of Premium Credit Limited (company number 02015200).
The School reserves the right to suspend a student while fees remain unpaid. If parents default on Direct Debit payments, the full fee will be payable immediately.
The withdrawal of a pupil requires one full term’s notice given in writing to the Head or payment of one full term’s fees in lieu of notice is due.
We accept childcare vouchers in either part or full payment. Under current HMRC rules, we can only accept payment of fees by childcare voucher up to and including the term in which your daughter turns five. After this date, school fees are no longer classified as childcare costs. You can continue to use the vouchers to pay for after school clubs, late stay and breakfast clubs throughout your child’s time at the school.
