Results 2026: Exceptional GCSE Success for JAGS Students

JAGS GCSE students have achieved a remarkable set of results, with half of all exams awarded the very highest grade.

Today’s highlights reveal:

• 50% of all results at Grade 9
• 77% of all results at Grades 8-9
• 92% of all results at Grades 7-9
• 1 in 8 students achieved straight Grade 9s

These results mark the fifth year in a row (excluding pandemic-adjusted outcomes) in which at least half of all GCSE grades awarded at JAGS have been Grade 9s, once again placing the school among the highest-performing in the country.

Mrs Alex Hutchinson, Head of JAGS, said: “I am so pleased for the Class of 2026. They have been a wonderful year group, full of energy, curiosity and kindness, and have brought so much to our community during their time at JAGS. Today’s results are richly deserved and a testament to everything they have achieved and contributed along the way.

“Every student’s journey has been different, which is why days like this are about so much more than statistics. Behind every result are years of effort, encouragement, growing confidence and overcoming challenges, supported by dedicated teachers, families and friends.

“We are delighted that these fantastic students now continue their journeys in the Sixth Form. It is a privilege to watch young people discover what excites and inspires them, and we look forward to supporting this talented group to make the most of the opportunities that lie ahead.”
