Welcome
We are delighted you are considering JAGS for your childs education.
Established in 1741, JAGS is the oldest independent girls’ school in London. Our founder, James Allen, championed a progressive approach to education that remains at the heart of all we do. Proud of our heritage, we continue to be defined by the forward-thinking, outward-looking ethos that has shaped generations of young men and women.
Our main Senior School entry points are at 11+ (Year 7) and 16+ (Year 12), although occasional places may become available in other year groups.
Book Your Place
Visiting the school is the best way to get a feel for life at JAGS. By seeing the school in action, you will gain a clearer sense of how this historic school nurtures each girl as an individual, helping her develop into a confident, ambitious and compassionate young woman.

Fees, Bursaries and Scholarships
At James Alan’s Girls School, we strive to attract intellectually curious girls regardless of economic background. Bursary provision is firmly embedded as central to the school’s ethos and is a key component in making the school’s world-class education accessible to everyone, not just to those whose families can afford the fees.
