Winners of Chemistry Competition Announced!
Congratulations to Amelia, Amy and Asmitha who have been named as the winners of the recent essay competition held by the Chemistry department.
Last month, the Chemistry department held an essay competition titled ‘Chemistry in Everyday Life.’ Students were asked to submit an article of 500 words on the ways in which we experience chemistry on a daily basis, either discussing the general practical aspect of chemistry or focusing on a specific example. Entries were then judged on creativity as well as scientific content.
Congratulations to the following students who were announced as the winners:
1st Place – Amelia in Year 7 for her essay ‘Chemistry is everywhere’, in which she discusses the chemistry of our daily activities.
2nd Place – Amy in Year 10 for her essay which talked about how chemistry is used in all areas of life, from cooking to emotions to hygiene.
3rd Place – Asmitha in Year 7, for her essay, ‘Chemistry in Everyday Life’, in which she talks about practical chemistry and lab safety.
