JAGS Shortlisted in Independent School of the Year Awards 2021
Last week it was revealed that James Allen’s Girls’ School has been shortlisted for two awards in the Independent School of the Year Awards 2021, run by the Chelsea Magazine Company.
Our Senior School has been shortlisted for ‘Independent Girls’ School of the Year’ and our Pre-Prep for ‘Independent Pre-Prep School of the Year.’ It is a particularly special achievement as a record number of schools from across the country entered the awards this year.
Speaking about this achievement, Mrs Alex Hutchinson, Head of JAGS, has said,
“I am absolutely thrilled that the hard work and dedication from across the JAGS community has been recognised in this way. It really is a testament to our incredible staff and pupils that we have been shortlisted in these two categories.’
Dr Helen Wright, Chair of the Independent Schools of the Year awards 2021 said,
‘The aim of the awards has always been to highlight the excellence of the student experience in independent schools. On the evidence of the submissions, the independent school sector in Britain is demonstrating resilience and agility, while continuing to deliver a first-class educational experience to its pupils despite having to live with ever-changing levels of restrictions.’
The finalists for the awards will be announced in September, and we’ll keep our fingers crossed until then!
