Aiming high: top tips from England coaches

While the rest of us were freezing in early January, PE teachers from 23 schools and clubs were here at JAGS, keeping very warm by trying out for themselves the latest good practice in teaching netball. Naomi Taylor, coach for Celtic Dragons, Superleague and  Tamsin Greenway, lead coach for the England netball players and Superleague team Bath, explained the point of the day: to cascade these up to date techniques through the PE departments at school and club level, so that the right foundation is laid for future players; if pupils from any of these schools and clubs are selected for the England netball squad, the England coaches will know the players will have had experience of the same techniques, from which they can develop their skills.
