Prep Girls excel in IAPS Regional Swimming Rounds

Very well done to all the Y5 and Y6 girls from the Prep School who competed in the IAPS Regional Swimming Competition.  251 schools took part in the regional rounds with over 4000 swimmers competing.

A special mention for Sofia Svensson (Y5) who has qualified for the Grand Finals in May after coming 8th out of 155 competitors in the 25m backstroke.

Other results included:

  • Girls U11 50m Breaststroke – Gioia Birt 39 out of 138 
  • Girls U11 50m Freestyle – Eloise Jannaway 25 out of 155 
  • Girls U11 50m Backstroke – Rosie Russell 48 out of 137  
  • Girls U11 25m Butterfly – Bea Wood  63 out of 137  
  • Girls U10 25m Breaststroke – Trinity Shaw 25 out of 152
  • Girls U10 25 Backstroke – Ella McIvor 39 out of 155 
  • Girls U10 25 Backstroke – Juliette Mauduit  69 out of 155 
  • Girls U11 4 x 25m Freestyle Relay – (Gioia Birt, Rosie Russell, Eloise Jannaway and Bea Wood) came 47 out of 135 teams 
  • Girls U11 4 x 25m Medley Relay – (Gioia Birt, Rosie Russell, Eloise Jannaway and Bea Wood) came 28 out of 125 teams 
  • Girls U10 25m Freestyle – Ariana Lam was placed 18 out of 170 swimmers with a time of 16.47 (2nd Reserve)
  • Girls U10 4 x 25m Freestyle Relay  – (Ariana Lam, Trinity Shaw, Ella McIvor and Sofia Svensson) came 14 out of 136 teams 
  • Girls U10 4 x 25m Medley Relay – (Ariana Lam, Trinity Shaw, Ella McIvor and Sofia Svensson) came 29 out of 114 teams
