Congratulations to all our Year 13 pupils! Once again we are celebrating success in our A level and AS examinations.  34% of all the full A levels taken by the 86 Year 13 students at this leading girls’ school were awarded the new A* grades.  93% of the full A level entries achieved an A*, A or B grade and 73% were graded A* or A (all in specialist subjects not General Studies).  One girl achieved 5 A* at full A level, with 4 girls achieving 4 A* grades and 13 gained 3 A*.  Overall, 19 girls achieved at least 4 A grades and 43 achieved at least 3 A grades at full A level.

For all the girls this academic success is accompanied by a huge commitment to community action, music, drama, sports, and other extra-curricular activities.

We are proud of all our Year 13 pupils; they have lived life to the full here. Special mention should be made of Freddie Onslow who achieved five A* grades at full A level in Chemistry, Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Russian with an A grade for AS French.  Sophia Lambton achieved four A* grades at full A level in French, Classical Greek, History and Latin with an A grade for AS Russian.  Eleni Pittas achieved four A* grades at full A level in English Literature, Geography, History and Mathematics with an A grade at AS in Further Mathematics.  Quinta Pusey achieved four A* grades at full A level in English Literature, French, History and Italian with an A grade at AS in Government & Politics. Bethia Ruttle achieved four A* grades in English, History, Politics and Religious Studies.

JAGS Headmistress, Mrs Marion Gibbs, commented: “The girls and their teachers deserve many congratulations; the A level examinations have been made more challenging and require hard work.  At a time when young people are often criticised, I am very proud of the enormous amount the girls have given to others through community action and extra-curricular activities.”
