The Year 12 geographers had an amazing experience at the Olympic site on Tuesday 21st June. We had a very informative talk about regeneration in the area and found out an array of interesting facts about the construction work that has taken place over the last 4 years. It was very apparent that the knowledge and experience geographers have of sustainability and project management  make them invaluable in major engineering & architectural projects in the world today! Our guided tour of the velodrome and stadium were unforgettable. The girls even did a lap round the track! We then took the DLR back to Canary Wharf to compare the Olympic regeneration works with those in the Docklands. Our thanks go to Mrs Blackman for giving up her time to organise the day for us.
