JAPS Parents’ v Staff Netball Match

At the end of last term there was a parents’ v staff match after the Inter-house Netball Tournament. All the teachers had to have their hair tied back in two pig-tails which looked very cute.

It was a hard first two minutes when no-one scored, but then the parents scored. The teachers fought back straightaway and scored. There were a lot of interceptions and strong passes.

By the third quarter it was 3-1 to the parents, then 4-1, but then the teachers scored again. For a while the ball kept going up and down the court with the teachers getting into their D but the defenders stopped them scoring.

I think the Player of the Match was Miss Holmes, who was very fast and feisty (although she said later that she felt overwhelmed by the power of the parents!).

The teachers might have won if there hadn’t been so many giant daddies and determined mummies! The final score was 4-2 to the parents.
