SCIENCE WEEK

Everyone would like to say a very special thank you to Mrs Argent for arranging a wonderful Science Week.

The Mini-Beast Man came into school on Monday and delighted each class with his collection of weird and wonderful creatures including a cane toad, a corn snake, a dolly lizard, a giant snail, hermit crabs, stick insects, a terrapin and a tortoise. The Freshwater Theatre Company delivered some fantastic workshops on Tuesday to enhance the children’s learning in their different topic areas and Dr Jasmine performed her Amazing Magical Science & Art Show to the whole school on Wednesday morning before Year One and Year Two embarked with her on a circuit of experiments. The visits to the copse throughout the week were very popular and the children loved having the opportunity to show their parents the fruits of their Science Week labours this morning during our Open House. What a fantastic week with which to end the first half of term!
