Y5 Study Skills Thinking Day
All of the Y5 girls enjoyed half a day "off timetable" yesterday to take part in a workshop from Learning Performance Training. 5J had the morning session and 5H attempted to find out what had gone on in preparation for their afternoon workshop. The girls were excellent participants in the programme, which is fun and fast-moving and offers an introduction to Study Skills, how to learn, and make learning easier. The key course components of the day were Memory, Preferred Learning Styles, Understanding and Summarising, and Independent Learning. The presenter was very complimentary about the girls' participation and even covered elements of the course often not covered for Y6 children. The girls clearly enjoyed the sessions and will make good use of the skills they learned in preparation for next year.
