| There’s the JAGS working day and then there’s out of hours….we can only know a fraction of what JAGS girls do, and if Elizabeth Walker, Special Event Manager for Breast Cancer Campaign’s Pink Ribbon Ball, held at the Dorchester Hotel on Saturday 8 October, hadn’t written to the Headmistress, we wouldn’t have heard what a credit Harriet Neale, Olivia Mould, Catherine Meades, Miranda Frizelle, Alice Patchett, Georgie Stenhouse, Tasha Mawdsley, Ella Griffiths, Emma Hammond, Rachel Blackman-Mack had been to us.
Discovering that help was needed urgently with the fundraising activities during the evening, Elizabeth says Harriet’s response was “simply fantastic”. She ‘recruited’ several of her school friends as volunteers. “The girls all turned up on time, beautifully presented in ball gowns and were an utter joy to work with throughout the evening. They were a credit to both their parents and your school, for whom they acted as ambassadors,” says Elizabeth. “If these girls are representative of your school’s student body, then it is indeed a truly wonderful school.” Well done girls. Thanks for giving your time so generously to support the campaign’s most important fundraising event.
