Spring
Just before Christmas, twenty JAGS sixth formers helped wrap a veritable mountain of parcels at the Kids Company headquarters in central London. Kids Company is a charity which aims to provide practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children, young people and their families. The parcels of beautiful new toys, clothes and toiletries, some of which we’d collected, were destined for those who would otherwise receive no Christmas presents. Lots of children also enjoy all-day entertainment at the Camberwell Centre every year on Christmas Day – no small feat of organisation.
We have been enthusiastically linked to Kids Company ever since its founder, Camila Batmanghelidjh, made a memorable visit to JAGS, impressing us with her vision.

Many of the 14,000 children reached by Kids Company’s services have experienced severe and multiple trauma. No wonder all the sixth form who helped that day thoroughly enjoyed the morning , knowing that this is a most worthwhile charity. KC Spring Newsletter.
