‘Bowles! It was so much fun! Why couldn’t it be longer?’ chorused everyone! A weekend at the Activity Centre for Y7 might seem like a lifetime in advance, but it goes so quickly. Hope wanted longer canoeing, Susannah suggested two skiing slots, Nina just wanted more. What scored well was down to personal preference – Nepheli liked the rope course, and Julia really loved rock-climbing; Diana enjoyed the skiing best; for Eloise it was the problem-solving exercise which had them crawling through loads of tunnels. All of them agreed it was great fun to get to know girls from different Y7 classes, because they were all mixed up in groups. You need to trust your leader on the night walk with its obstacle course, and, as Miranda pointed out, good wellies and waterproofs help when it’s so muddy! Thanks to all the staff for making it happen.
