On Thursday 11 November the sixth form Japanese students went to the Barbican Theatre to see a play devised by Complicite based on the story of the blind shamisen player, Shun-kin. The use of puppetry and staging made for a dramatic and memorable experience, as well as the captivating story of the beautiful but dominating relationship between the main character and her servant. It’s a must see for anyone interested in Japanese culture!
