Put the words ‘Bettany, Clarke, Desenfans and Holst’ into the mix with ‘Lunchtime Concerts’, and 4 appreciative audiences in the colour-themed Holst Hall - is there no end to the bubble of excitement this half-term!

We’ve enjoyed 4 excellent Senior House Music programmes over the week. Clarke - Poulenc: Sonata for Flute and Piano, Mozart: Voi Che Sapete, and Sondheim: Send in the Clowns , Schoenburg: 6 Little Pieces piano solo, Joplin: The Easy Winners piano duet and Popper’s Mazurka on the cello; Desenfans - a GaGa medley, Puccini: O Mio Babbino Caro, Hadyn: piano sonata in D Major, Four Chord Song, Perquena Czarda and Queen: Somebody to Love; Holst - after an accordion intro, Elena Kats-Chernin: Eliza Aria, Steph Baron: original composition on guitar and vocals, Hoffmeister: Duo Concertant No.3 in F for piano and cello, Puccini: O Mio Babbino Caro, Woods: Sonata 1st movement on the saxophone and The Saturdays: vocals, guitar, piano and drums; and Bettany – Allegro in F piano solo, Pixie Lott’s Use Somebody on guitar and vocals, Lean On Me vocals, Ain’t No Sunshine guitar and vocals, Debussy: Syrinx flute solo and a final vocal piece, You Know That I’m No Good.
