Young Art 2009 – ‘Imagine If’

An exhibition of artwork in aid of Cancer research UK

A fantastic title which obviously inspired some of our artists at JAGS.

Hannah Blows with her dry point etching and Zara Mannings with her chalk pastel drawing both were Highly Commended in the 14 – 16 age category.  Annecy Attlee was Commended for her self portrait acrylic painting. Angharad Kolator-Baldwin, Bella Lamplough Shields, Kitty Langton (Commended), Fenella Lindsey Clarke, Roshni Mahtani, Tasmin Moore (Commended) and Lucy Rew also had work in the exhibition.  Only one in ten pictures is accepted in the exhibition; the girls should be extremely proud of their achievements. Congratulations to them all.

The Exhibition will remain open on Wednesday 13 May and Thursday 14 May from 10.30 am to 6pm at the Royal College of Art, Kensington Gore SW7. There is a small charge for entry in aid of the Cancer Research UK charity.

You can also visit a small selection of work from the South London Schools at the Francis Peek Centre on Friday 15 May 1pm – 5pm, and Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 between 10am and 5pm and on Monday 18 May, 10am – 1pm.
