 Irish Dance Workshop

On Wednesday 11 March the girls had the opportunity to learn and perform a segment of ‘Riverdance’, as part of the Irish Dance Workshop.  Starting with Year 3, each class had a 45-minute session in which to learn the intricate steps associated with the show.  At the beginning of each session, it looked as if the dance was just too tricky and too fast to master but with great tutoring and perseverance each class perfected the routine (almost!).  Even Mr Lochran could not resist the temptation to join in and I do believe Miss Raimes was spotted secretly practising just before Parents’ Evening!  The girls should be incredibly proud of themselves as they showed so much improvement in such a short space of time.  It was an enjoyable and memorable experience for everyone and hopefully there will be many more dance workshops to come.
