Music for the young at heart at Christ's Chapel

Singing carols and popular songs is one of the joys at Christmas time, happily uniting the young and young at heart in the pleasure of music-making, as you can see from the photos taken by Janie Airey. Dulwich Picture Gallery hosted a wonderful afternoon concert in December for a group of senior citizens. The sound of young musicians from JAGS soared round the beautiful adjoining Christ’s Chapel, with the String Sinfonietta, the Cello Ensemble and the Rose Quartet also contributing to a magical atmosphere. Katharine Sheppard and Anita Vigneswaran from Year 8 describe the experience of conquering their nerves and the very tangible rewards of singing at the concert with the Whole School Choir.
