JAPS NETBALL TOURNAMENT VICTORY!

Many congratulations to the Y5 A netball team who were the winners of the St Dunstan’s Netball Tournament last Saturday. Please see the match report below:

Mrs Woodward told us while we were training that we had a good chance of winning the trophy in this tournament. So when we arrived at St Dunstan’s last Saturday morning we were full of hope and in high spirits. We had to play five matches against Streatham and Clapham High, Blackheath Prep, St Dunstan’s, Sydenham High and Farringtons. We won four of them and only let in a few goals. It came down to the last match against Blackheath Prep which we had to win or draw. The whole team played magnificently and the Player of the Match was Rachel Cordery, who was an excellent Goal Shooter. The final score was 8-1 to JAPS which meant we had won the tournament! Thank you to Mrs Woodward and Mr Lochran.
