SCIENCE WEEK AT THE PRE-PREP: Week beginning 2 March 2009

Science Week was so interesting, fun and enjoyable for the children at the Pre-Prep. The highlights included the Mini-beast Man’s visit on Monday (when the children looked at a cane toad, dolly lizard, tortoise, terrapin, tarantula, corn snake, giant snail, giant millipede and stick insects), the inspiring visits throughout the week to the copse at JAGS which involved pond dipping and, finally, the brilliant ‘Amazing Magical Science’ show and workshops on Thursday. Lots of work relating to Science was done throughout the week which parents came into school on Friday morning to view. The children also had huge fun visiting other classes to see what children in other year groups had been doing as part of this exciting week in the school calendar.
