We are so proud of Rochana! We always knew her talent as a songwriter and appreciated her  fantastically powerful voice, but now she’s won public recognition  for her skills. In the regional finals of the Open Mic UK competition, held in the Beck theatre, Middlesex on Sunday 11 October, Rochana’s own composition, ‘Coming Back For More’, completely stunned the five professional judges. Beating off stiff competition from 18 others in the under 18 category, Rochana soared to the top in the marking of stage performance, interpretation, sound and appearance. Perhaps it was her lucky red dress? Next stop: representing London at the Grand Finals in Portsmouth, where she faces the challenge of two acts from each region, all hungry to win the title which brings with it £25,000 worth of professional management and a recording contract.
