Year Two climbed The Monument today (9 November) to enjoy a splendid view of the City of London and were delighted to each receive a certificate commemorating this achievement.  They then visited the ‘Great Fire of London’ gallery at the Museum of London which displayed lots of artefacts either used to put out the fire or rescued from it.                                                          

 There was also a very interesting DVD recording first hand accounts of the fire, such as that from the famous diarist, Samuel Pepys.  Both visits were made to support the work being done in class on this term’s topic ‘Stuart London’.
