From Russia with JAGS

36 of our Russian students and 6 staff members visited St Petersburg and Moscow over the Easter holiday as part of our programme to improve the girl’s confidence with the language and their familiarity with Russian culture.

Although 6 days is not nearly enough time to soak up all the history that the former hub of the USSR has to offer, we managed to squeeze in all the main attractions, including a trip to the Kremlin (see photo).

The girls were given a rare opportunity to partake in a real slice of life in Russia by spending some time with school pupils in St Petersburg, who welcomed them into their homes for lunch. The girls thoroughly enjoyed the experience and are keen to maintain their newly forged friendships!

The only hiccup with the journey was returning to terminal 5 on the day it opened…We have finally received all our suitcases!

The girls are preparing some first hand reports of their experiences which will be available to view online shortly.
