Geography in Gower

The 5 day residential fieldtrip to South Wales took place during the Easter holidays, 3-7^th April 2008. Seventeen 6^th form Geographers arrived at JAGS early on the Thursday morning with their waterproofs and walking boots, fully expecting a weekend of cold temperatures and snow showers. However, we were incredibly lucky during our stay in Oxwich Bay on the Gower Peninsula as we had plenty of sunshine and warm weather (unlike the rest of the UK!). The girls really enjoyed their visit and gained plenty of techniques for their AS Skills paper, as well as detailed regional knowledge about South Wales for both their AS and A2 papers.  The photos below capture some of our fantastic experiences:
