'I Wish'
17th Exhibition of Young Art in aid of Cancer Research UK

'I Wish' is this year's theme for the 17th annual 'Young Art' exhibition in aid of Cancer Research UK. Over 6,000 entries were received and 576 art works have been selected for this fund raising exhibition at the Royal College of Art in Kensington. For the first time this year a selection of the pictures from South London Schools will also be shown at the Francis Peek Centre in Dulwich. This will allow local children to view the exhibition more easily.
Twelve pupils from James Allen's Girls' School have been selected for the exhibition.
Alexa Prichard has won the London Sketch Club Prize and Hannah Chisholm is Highly Commended and Louisa Prodgers is Commended in the 11–18 category. Laura Osborne won second prize in the GCSE category.
Other works selected for the exhibition are by Alice Burns, Sonay Erten, Olivia Jones, Gabriella Meade, Anna Richards, Charlotte Skinner, Valerie Teh and Isabella Bird.
The selection includes a variety of media, including painting, drawing, textiles and printmaking.
All pupils will receive a special certificate to mark their achievements and they have been invited to attend an award ceremony and private view at the Royal College of Art with their families.

If you wish to visit the exhibition it is open on the 9th - 11th May, 10am – 6pm at the Royal College of Art, Kensington Gore SW7. There is a small entrance fee, which includes a catalogue in aid of Cancer Research UK, entrance in Jay Mews. You can also visit a selection of work from South London Schools at the Francis Peek Centre, Dulwich from Saturday 12th – Tuesday 15th May, 10am – 5pm.
