Science is taught by a specialist teacher in a well-equipped laboratory. There is an investigative approach based upon the National Curriculum scheme of work, and there are popular after-school Science Clubs leading to British Association of Young Investigator Awards.

An annual trip to The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew is thoroughly enjoyed by Year 3. Trips to the Planetarium at Greenwich, the Science Museum and other places of interest are also undertaken as well as inviting relevant speakers and entertaining workshops to school to complement the curriculum.
