Our pupils derive immense benefit and enjoyment from sport and it is valued highly. We are fortunate in sharing JAGS' 22 acre site and have the benefit of extensive playing fields and a superb, new, 25 metre swimming pool, which all JAPS pupils use. Our swimming teams have consistently been successful in many London and national swimming championships. The Middle School has its own hall with gymnastic equipment. 

1.   The number of PE lessons per week – MS = 2 x doubles of PE, 1 x swimming lesson, PP = 2 x doubles of PE,
      1 x double swimming lesson.

2.   The types of activities covered in lessons throughout the year – Y5 & 6 (football, netball, hockey, gym, dance,
      
rounders, athletics, tennis).

      - Y3 & 4 (football, netball, hand skills, gym, hockey, dance, rounders, athletics, dance).

      - PP (a variety of games activities, gym, dance, athletics skills).

3.    Staffing – 2 specialist PE teachers and 2 specialist swimming teachers (1 in the PP, 1 in the MS). 

4.    Swimming – Children swim all year. Staffing ratios in swimming, MS = 12:1, PP = 6:1.

5.    Events – IH events each term, weekly matches, tournaments.

6.    Opportunity to apply for the Sports Exhibition at JAGS.

7.    Extra-curricular sport – Sports Clubs (non-competitive) and Squads (competitive) in a range of sports.
       Teams in Netball, Hockey, Football, Rounders, Swimming, Cross Country.

8.    Trips – Wimbledon / Stella Artois Tennis, Netball Internationals.
