Geography

The teaching of Geography places an emphasis on practical activities and first hand experience.  Through exploring the local area and going on trips eg: Joss Bay in Kent.  The children learn to investigate and to use geographical language.

This subject covers a wide range of topics from physical and social geography, including:

  • hot & cold lands
  • the British Isles
  • islands
  • rivers
  • settlements
  • volcanoes
  • rain forests

Pupils regularly go on outings, for example, to the Thames Barrier or Commonwealth Institute, to supplement classroom learning.
