Geography
The teaching of Geography places an emphasis on practical activities and first hand experience. Through exploring the local area and going on trips eg: Joss Bay in Kent. The children learn to investigate and to use geographical language.
This subject covers a wide range of topics from physical and social geography, including:
- hot & cold lands
- the British Isles
- islands
- rivers
- settlements
- volcanoes
- rain forests
Pupils regularly go on outings, for example, to the Thames Barrier or Commonwealth Institute, to supplement classroom learning.
