Foundation

The Foundation Stage Curriculum is followed in the Reception classes at the Pre-Prep. At this stage the curriculum is delivered through both indoor and outdoor activities and the Reception classes have their own designated outdoor area which is used as an extension of the classroom. A range of experiences are planned often based on the children’s spontaneous play. The Foundation Stage curriculum follows six areas of learning as identified below:

1.       Personal Social and emotional development
2.       Communication, Language and Literacy
3.       Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
4.       Knowledge and Understanding of the World
5.       Physical Development
6.       Creative Development
