What does JAPS Parents' Association Do?

For the Children
The annual subscription, collected as part of the Spring Term fees, is used by the Parents' Association to fund activities and refreshments for the children.   At Christmas it pays for the disco, food and refreshments and small Christmas gifts for all the children at JAPS; it also includes funding a representative of Father Christmas to give presents to the Pre-Prep.

The money is also used to buy water bottles and sometimes treats such as ice lollies or crème eggs for the girls after Sports Day or other interhouse sporting events.

Organise Social Events for Parents
Drinks Evenings
Wine-tasting Evening
Quiz Night
Summer Term Dance - the famous Glitterati Party and Club Tropicana.

Sometimes social events are organised to raise funds for the school or charities.   The Glitterati Party raised £500 for Kingfishers and the Quiz night raised £400 for Capital Radio's Help a London Child.

We also organise refreshments for parents and children at Founder's Day and for prospective parents and children at the Open Day in autumn and the entrance exams in January

If you would like to play a part, please contact Mary-Clare Tucker for the Middle School Committee or Helen King for the Pre-Prep Committee.
