ADIÓS SPANISH YEAR 13!

It is always with sadness that the Spanish department says adios to their Year 13 students…but they do it with style! As part of the Unit 5 Topics and Text, Year 13 studied the Mexican novel Como agua para chocolate by Laura Esquivel; a contemporary work which tells the story of a Mexican family through their traditions and family recipes. So this year they had their final outing at Mestizo Restaurant in central London. Students had an introduction to Mexican food by one of the Mestizo staff followed by a tasting of Mexican tacos and antojitos, typical Mexican starters, and some of the most delicious classic dishes, such as mole, fajitas, enchiladas, chilaquiles to name a few. Good luck in the future and ¡ hasta la vista, amigas!
