'MODERN RUSSIA THROUGH THE EYES OF THE TSARS'

Never mind the Eurovision Song Contest - we have another reason to celebrate performances in Russian! We have just heard that Laetitia Ward, Year 13, has been awarded 3rd prize in the third National Russian essay writing competition organised by ALL, the Association for Language Learning, for her essay on the topic “Modern Russia through the eyes of the Tsars”. With over 219 entries nationwide, Laetitia was up against some stiff competition and we are proud of her success. Congratulations too to Maggie Lund, Year 12, who was shortlisted for a prize.
