The JAGS Politics Society meets several times a term, is open to girls from Year 11 upwards and welcomes speakers from all parts of the political spectrum. Tessa Jowell the school’s local M.P. has visited on several occasions. James Naughtie has come to talk about the relationship between politicians, the media and the public, Jeremy Bowen to give some insight into the problems of political journalism with special reference to the Middle East. We have been addressed by judges, civil servants, politicians of all parties and members of the Lords both hereditary (Lord Elton) and life peers like Lord Temple-Morris.
