JAGS Choral Society

Musical Director – Leigh O’Hara
Accompanist – Marilyn Harper

Come & join us - rehearsals at 7.30 – 9.30 pm term-time Tuesday evenings in the JAGS Holst Hall.
No audition necessary – just bring some enthusiasm and a pencil!

James Allen’s Girls’ School Choral Society was founded in 1987 and is a choir of around 70 voices – parents, staff, former pupils and local people – which meets weekly during term-time to rehearse the well-known, and sometimes new or unusual, works of the choral repertoire. Originally the idea was to provide tenor and bass parts for the school choirs, but the Choral Society has developed a vigorous life of its own gives three concerts each year with orchestra including singing in exciting venues such as St Paul’s Cathedral and St John’s Smith Square, Blackheath and Cadogan Hall. See the bottom of this page for repertoire for the past few years.

New voices are always welcome - previous experience of singing in choirs is not necessary and no audition is required. The emphasis is on enjoying making good music. Membership is open to everyone, irrespective of connections with JAGS or JAPS.
