We are delighted to announce that Katrina has won a Distinction in the British Mathematical Olympiad, awarded to the top 25% of scorers. Congratulations!

Katrina faced the stiff challenge well and enjoyed persevering with problem-solving for its intellectual challenge - and the satisfaction of finding solutions!

The competition is entered by students all over the country in Years 12 and 13 studying Maths at AS or A2 level.

In an earlier round, JAGS girls were awarded 2 gold, 9 silver and 11 bronze medals.  Katrina Ferron (Year 13) was ‘Best in School’ qualifying her for Round 1 of the British Mathematical Olympiad on Thursday 3rd December, 2009.
