On 4th March a group of year 12 students attended a Japanese Cooking Class held at The Grocery near Old Street, We were all looking forward to learning how to prepare Japanese food from a professional cooking teacher, Atsuko and her assistant, Masami, and enjoying a meal we made together. We were baffled at first about how to pleat Japanese dumplings (called Gyoza) but we soon got into it and before we were making them by the dozen! Also on the menu was rice with edamame and the famous miso soup. The meal was delicious and it tasted all the sweeter as we had made it ourselves.
