On Friday 12 February our two Year 8 Italian groups celebrated carnival together. The girls from one class prepared a PowerPoint presentation and explained to the others what carnival is, how it is celebrated in Italy and what the main traditions are. Mrs Marchini and Mrs Totten brought in some home made sweets, chiacchiere and frittelle, which you can only enjoy at this time of year and which can be prepared by following the recipes below.
