Italian is an active and popular subject at JAGS. It boasts a Debating Society and a Film Club. Some activities are organised jointly with Dulwich College. Girls have had notable success in national creative writing competitions in recent years, and in winning scholarships to study in Italy.

Exchanges are a prominent part of the curriculum. The GCSE group travels to Tuscany regularly on an exchange with the Liceo Linguistico San Bellarmino in Montepulciano (Siena). The A level group exchanges with the Liceo Scientifico Benedetti in Venice.
