Thanks to the return visit of Chris Modd, a member of the Sealed Knot organisation, resplendent in full costume and with all necessary props, Y8 have a vivid idea of how the Civil Wars would have affected them, and whether they would have swung the Royalist or Parliamentarian way. Chris exuded brilliantly his enthusiasm for this part of history; it's his whole life and he made the times come alive for the girls, sharing tips on loading and firing muskets, wielding a pike and battle technique. Let's face it, they weren't quite up to speed with the drilling but as a group they roared quite assertively!
