Field Trips

The Y12 geographers enjoyed a great 5 day trip to South Wales during the Easter holiday. The aim was to develop existing and learn new practical skills in preparation for the AS and A2 Skills papers, as well as produce a portfolio of case studies to use in all the examinations. Highlights included a guided walk of the Oxwich sand dunes led by the Senior Reserves Manager, Nick Edwards and his cute dog, Meg; relaxing on the beach at stunning Three Cliffs Bay having studied the entire course of the River Ilston; a fascinating lecture about the regeneration of Swansea by David Williams at Swansea County Council and of course the delicious three course meals and fantastic views across Oxwich Bay from our hotel.
