Field Trips

During their Geography lessons in November 2011 the Year 7s popped down to Dulwich Village to examine the shopping provision and different housing types. Each girl completed a detailed land use map. As the school has a large catchment area many of the girls had not yet explored the Village, so this was an ideal opportunity for them to get to know their local area. The girls produced some excellent maps back in the classroom and were able to comment on the types of services close to the school. They are now much more able to spot characteristics of houses, such as sash windows, pebble dash, bay windows and stained glass which has enabled them to determine the ages of houses.
