Well done to Kate George, Sophia Lambton, Alice Parker and Quinta Pusey who spent several hours last week arguing effectively, and in French! In the regional round of a national French debating competition held in Sevenoaks School on Tuesday 8th  March, the Y13 girls debated in French against 6 other schools on controversial topics such as "freedom of the press" and "the increase in university tuition fees". The final call was in the semi-final where they took part in a heated debate on whether or not French parents should be allowed to smack their children.
