Speech and Drama

Drama is taught to every girl in Years 7 to 9 as part of the curriculum. In addition, the Drama Department offers private Speech and Drama lessons, also taught by specialist staff. The girls take lessons in small groups working towards group exams with the English Speaking Board each year. We are proud of the courses, of the results, and of the opportunities afforded to each girl to polish performance and communication skills.

Private lessons are taught by:

Elizabeth Macfarlane Central School of Speech and Drama, Stage Course (LRAM),
Visiting Fellow (Harvard), Royal Shakespeare Company and Presentation Consultant.

Clare Mead MA (St Andrews), Theatre work Post Grad at Drama Studio and Presentation Consultant.

Lynne Clark BA Hons English and Drama (Hull), 25 years in the professional theatre.
