The dance club was suitably impressed by the production of ‘Wicked’ at the Apollo Victoria Theatre - a fantastic performance by talented actors, filled with jaw-dropping stunts and stunning costumes, as Nikita Karia, Year 8 explains.

‘The unique and hilarious personalities and emotions of each character were conveyed really well and we truly did feel as though we were in the story.  The music was always perfect.  Each song rang in your ears and no doubt we will all be humming the tunes to ourselves for the next few weeks!

The storyline of the play was very addictive: you always wanted to know more and what happens next.  The whole theme was cleverly twisted with the famous book, ‘The Wizard of Oz’ which was exciting as we could make connections.

Since we are going to be performing a sequence from ‘Wicked’ on Founder’s Day, seeing our dance being performed live gave us the advantage of being able to capture the feel and excitement of it and being able, we hope, to put that same wow! factor into our own performance.

It was a superb performance and I would like to thank all the members of staff who helped plan this event for us, in particular Mrs McCleave, our choreographer ; without her, none of this would have happened.  Thank you for a fantastic evening.’
