Classics

Once again we are delighted to have pupils entering the Classical Association’s Latin and Greek Reading Competition. This prestigious annual event takes place at City of London Boys’ School, and is attended by a number of schools who teach Classical subjects, such as Westminster, Oundle and Alleyn’s. Competitors have to deliver a passage of Greek or Latin, either a poem or piece of dialogue, with authentic pronunciation as well as showing understanding, before a panel of expert judges. Our competitors have been training hard and we wish them every success.

Good luck to: Sophia Lambton (Open Latin); Sarah Thornton (pre-GCSE Latin); Bryony Wilde, Sophie Meeran (Beginners’ Latin), Rita Otto and Anne-Laure Villa (understudies) on 10 March!
